This artwork was inspired by Will Burrard-Lucas photo of what he called "The Queen of Elephants". Click here for more information
Satao (c. 1968 – 30 May 2014) was one of Kenya's largest African elephants. He was known as a tusker because his tusks were so long that they almost touched the ground.
Although such giants once roamed across much of Africa, fewer than 20 "big tuskers" – elephants with tusks weighing in excess of 100 lbs on each side – are left in the world and almost half of them live in Tsavo.
Our newest collection celebrates the beauty and wonder of these stunning creatures that are now ENDANGERED.
